Milk sugar is the disaccharide of milk consisting of glucose and galactose.
Because of the high lactase activity lactose is easily digested by piglets and calves, even soon after birth already.
In contrast to sweet whey permeate (lactose content only approx. 80 %) lactose powder has a remarkable higher purity. Therefore, lactose powder e.g. does not carry any non-protein nitrogen (NPN) into your finished product.

This here specified product, ACID WHEY POWDER NEUTRAL, differs from standard acid whey products through a relatively high pH level of 5,0 - 6,0. This pH level results of a partly neutralisation. Sweet Whey Permeate MOLKOLAC
Original whey permeate is rich in lactose. Therefore, also the EURODUNA product specified here contains significantly more lactose (content 84 %) and significantly less crude ash (content max. 7 %) than partly delactosed whey permeate from competitors. This differentiation is important, because in the market sometimes both original and partly delactosed whey permeates are being offered under the same short name "permeate".
MOLKOLAC has got a unique position in the permeate market because of its remarkable structure and processing properties (non hygroscopic).
MOLKOLAC is an excellent alternative to pure lactose, which is primarily produced for human nutrition only and therefore not always available for animal feed.

Whey Protein Concentrates (WPC) are the main product from the ultra filtration of fluid sweet whey.
WPC products in the food sector are quite often substitutes / supplements for skim milk powders. An advantage compared to skim milk powder (containing also casein protein) in animal nutrition is the stable water solubility at very different pH-levels. Whey proteins do not cause "curd development" in the abomasum (no excessive saturation effect).
The main application for WPC 35 is the production of milk replacer products.
WPC 35 by EURODUNA is also very suitable for high quality piglet feeds (especially in pre-starters). WPC 35 contains high digestible whey protein, lactose and guarantees in relation to its protein concentration a very low ash content.
